LISA MANDELBLATT &

STACEY GUNDERMAN FOR ASSEMBLY

NJ LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT 21

Election Day: November 5, 2019

KEEP IN TOUCH

Never miss an update

WHY WE'RE RUNNING

We need representatives who share our values and will stand up for us. For too long we have been failed by career politicians who opposed gun violence reform, worsened our tax burden, neglected public transportation, infrastructure and our schools. Together, we know that if you really want to change Trenton, you start by changing the type of people you send to Trenton.

We are successful women deeply driven to make a difference. As your State Assemblywomen, we are committed to modernize public transportation, invest in infrastructure and education, reduce our tax burden, support small businesses and make the tough decisions to fix the fiscal crisis in state government for future generations. We will listen, be responsive, be accountable and bring fresh approaches because you deserve better.

There is a lot of work to do to get New Jersey back on track and we have never been afraid of hard work or backed away from a challenge. With your support, we will represent our shared priorities and values, always be on your side, and work tirelessly for the 21st Legislative District.

We made a statement last year and now we can make a movement. I support Lisa and Stacey because we need fighters for New Jersey at all levels of government, and Lisa and Stacey are two of the fiercest fighters I know. I am proud to be part of their team.

As a Mayor, former PTO and PAL President, and mom, I support Lisa Mandelblatt and Stacey Gunderman for Assembly because they are driven leaders in their communities. Unlike our current Representatives who watched silently when the ARC Tunnel was defunded and consistently voted against the values of our neighbors on critical issues, Lisa and Stacey know the commuting headaches of NJ Transit, the stress of the ever rising cost of living in this state, the desire to keep our public schools great, and the need to keep our commitments to our public workers while fighting to maintain NJ’s solvency. NJ has many serious issues which will require persistence, passion, and earnestness. Lisa Mandelblatt and Stacey Gunderman are the qualified leaders we need in the Assembly in order to provide NJ with a new vision and positive direction for the future.

This November 5th residents in the 21st Legislative District are going to have a voice on the direction they want New Jersey to take on critical issues affecting all of us.  I believe Lisa Mandelblatt and Stacey Gunderman will bring new energy and smart initiatives to the NJ State Assembly.

These two accomplished women know what it is to deal with issues ranging from NJTransit breakdowns and our crumbling dangerous infrastructure to safe child care, affordable healthcare - and much more. They live with the property tax burden that impacts their family, neighbors and all the good, hard-working people across the sixteen towns in LD 21.

Unlike the current representatives from the 21st, they will NOT VOTE NO, nor will they ABSTAIN on issues like gun safety, women’s reproductive rights, and aid to public education.  Rather they will work hard, reaching out to Democrats and Republicans alike, to pass the kinds of legislation that we need and deserve.

Let's send Lisa Mandelblatt and Stacey Gunderman to Trenton as our Assemblywomen where they will fight for what’s most important to our District and State.

I’m proud to endorse Lisa Mandelblatt and Stacey Gunderman to be the next Assembly Members for the 21st Legislative District. They are a strong team and are committed to improving the lives of all residents in the district.

I’ve worked to elect Democrats to serve 21st District voters in Trenton for almost 20 years, so I know from experience that electing new and better leaders to represent us in Trenton will not be easy. We need the strongest team to be our candidates, community leaders who understand the values of towns like ours and what it will take to win the race for State Assembly in November. That team is Lisa Mandelblatt and Stacey Gunderman.

During the past two years, I personally knocked on thousands of doors in our communities, which gave me an intimate knowledge and perspective of the concerns facing families of the 21st Legislative District.  As a candidate for state assembly in 2017, many doubted the viability for a Democratic to win, and it is not easy, but together we came within a whisker of making history. To flip the 21st Legislative District blue we need a team that is tenacious, inspiring, forward-thinking and shares our values.

That team is LISA MANDELBLATT and STACEY GUNDERMAN.

Lisa Mandelblatt and Stacey Gunderman will bring new ideas and fresh approaches to the State Capitol.  This will be a stark difference from career politicians, Jon Bramnick and Nancy Munoz, who are woefully out of touch with our values.  They both share A ratings with the NRA and were rubber stamps of the Christie agenda, which gutted women’s healthcare, stonewalled equal pay for women, opposed common sense gun violence reform and made New Jersey less affordable.

The time for change is now, and we need Lisa and Stacey fighting for us at the State Capitol.  I’m so proud and enthusiastic to endorse Lisa Mandelblatt and Stacey Gunderman for State Assembly.

We are seeing a groundswell of support across the district for Democrats at every level. In 2019 I’m excited to see this rising tide give us two new Assembly Members, Lisa Mandelblatt and Stacey Gunderman. Bramnick and Munoz have failed the district time and time again. I’m excited to be represented by Lisa and Stacey because they want to fight to improve the district by funding NJTransit and fighting for sensible gun laws.

Action Together New Jersey (ATNJ) is proud to announce our endorsements of Stacey Gunderman and Lisa Mandelblatt, two excellent candidates for Legislative District (LD) 21.

With the vast majority of votes for LD 21 coming from Union County voters, both Gunderman and Mandelblatt won the Union County Democratic convention, securing this critical positioning on the ballot. Since winning that convention, and despite the demands of work and raising kids, both candidates have been out every day in the district knocking on doors and talking about the issues that matter most to the voters.

"Mothers like Stacey Gunderman have their children's future in mind when they look at the policies today and this forward thinking is what we need. Stacey and Lisa Mandelblatt will step up and do what needs to be done to make New Jersey a better, safer, more equitable place to live," said Shannon Coulter, ATNJ Union County Co-Chair.

As a grassroots organization with a majority of women members, we believe in supporting women candidates; especially those who are not entrenched in party politics.

I'm excited to endorse Lisa Mandelblatt and Stacey Gunderman because we need more strong independent voices in Trenton who will help us fight for common-sense gun safety laws, reliable public transportation, and ensuring women have access to vital healthcare services

I first came to know Lisa when she volunteered for my campaign as Mayor and then later as a tireless worker on Tom Malinowski’s successful campaign for Congress. I have seen firsthand her work ethic and her commitment to ensuring that NJ remains a compassionate and affordable place to live for all New Jerseyans.

I have also had the great pleasure of watching Stacey’s rise from organizing thousands of NJ residents to participate in the first Women’s March in DC and subsequent marches in our nation’s capital, to leading and organizing the New Providence Democratic Committee.

I am thrilled to announce my support  for Lisa Mandelblatt and Stacey Gunderman for Assembly.

I'm thrilled to support Lisa and Stacey for Assembly in 2019. I ran for Mayor pushing for change in Roselle Park, and I think these two women can bring meaningful change to Trenton.

LD-21 needs Assemblywomen that are attentive to every town they represent - even the little ones like Roselle Park.

We need leaders who will push for the right answers when it comes to the biggest issues we face in NJ - not just play politics - Lisa and Stacey will do just that. Their vision will fix our aging infrastructure, strengthen our local economy, and make New Jersey a safer place to live.

Mandelblatt & Gunderman have what it takes to make Roselle Park and NJ a better place, and I'm proud to support them for Assembly.

As a public school teacher I have watched my profession  be denigrated and disrespected under Chris Christie and his supporters in Trenton. LD 21 needs a change. LD 21 needs leaders who will listen to and represent all residents. Lisa Mandelblatt and Stacey Gunderman are passionate and committed individuals who care deeply about the rights and needs of their constituents. I am honored to support these women who, like me, are driven to make a difference.

Lisa and Stacey are a dynamic duo. They have both worked long and hard to lead Democrats to victory in the last 2 years, including newly elected officials like me. As Council President, it’s critical that towns like Berkeley Heights have a state government able and willing to fight for them in Trenton. I’m endorsing Lisa and Stacey because I know they are going to lead that fight.

I got the chance to meet both Lisa and Stacey during Tom Malinowski’s campaign. Both worked tirelessly to help get him elected. Their commitment to doing the hard work impressed me. I’m going to work hard for them to make sure they unseat Jon Bramnick and Nancy Munoz. The district needs representatives who are responsive and willing to fight for things like NJTransit funding. Bramnick and Munoz have shown themselves to be unequal to the task.

Lisa and Stacey are excellent candidates. Like them I want to see NJTransit funded, our tax burden reduced, and investment in our public infrastructure. I’m endorsing the team of Lisa and Stacey because they are fighters.
