Berkeley Heights, NJ – Lacey Cotter Rzeszowski, who ran for Assembly in 2017 and won the most votes for a Democratic candidate in almost half a century, has endorsed Lisa Mandelblatt and Stacey Gunderman for Assembly.

“I personally knocked on thousands of doors in the 21st legislative district in 2017 and I know the concerns facing the families here,” said Rzeszowski. “Having come within a point of unseating Assemblywoman Nancy Munoz, I know what it will take to win this race. To unseat entrenched politicians like Assemblywoman Munoz and Minority Leader Bramnick we need a team who are qualified, responsive, and hard working. That team is Lisa Mandelblatt and Stacey Gunderman.”

“I’m thrilled to have the support of Lacey Rzeszowski,” said Lisa Mandelblatt. “Bramnick and Munoz are out of touch with the residents of the district. They have an “A” rating from the NRA and “F” ratings from environmental groups. Stacey and I are building a people-powered campaign, like Lacey did. We are knocking on doors and talking to voters throughout the week. Building on the work of Lacey’s campaign, we are going to unseat Bramnick and Munoz.”

“For too long our District has been failed by disconnected politicians that opposed gun violence reforms, worsened our tax burden, and neglected our public transportation, infrastructure and schools,” said Stacey Gunderman. “Lacey showed what a grassroots campaign can do. This year, for the first time, there are more Democrats than Republicans in the district. Lisa and I are a strong team that will pick up where Lacey left off and we will flip the 21st district.”

Mandelblatt and Gunderman have also been endorsed by Congressman Tom Malinowski, Westfield Mayor Shelley Brindle, Roselle Park Mayor Joseph Signorello III, Berkeley Heights Mayor Angie Devanney, Berkeley Heights Councilmembers Susan Poage, Alvaro Medeiros, and Stephen Yellin, and former Summit Mayor Jordan Glatt.
